Inspiring young engineers to lead through robotics
The Tolland County Robotics Foundation opens doors for K-12 students across Connecticut to discover teamwork, confidence, and innovation through hands-on robotics programs and competitions.

Every student deserves a chance to see themselves as a leader and problem-solver. At the Tolland County Robotics Foundation in Wolcott, that chance comes alive through robotics—whether it's a kindergartener building their first LEGO creation or a high schooler designing and competing with a full robotics team. The foundation believes that all young people, regardless of where they live or their background, can thrive when they're given mentorship and an exciting challenge to tackle together.
From the youngest RISE Program participants learning foundational building skills to middle schoolers competing in the FIRST LEGO League Challenge, each program is carefully designed to meet students where they are developmentally. Across Tolland County, the foundation brings these opportunities directly to students through scrimmages, competitions, and special events like the TC Robotics Rumble and Robotics After Dark. It's not just about building robots—it's about building confidence and discovering what teamwork truly means.
When students gather around a robotics challenge, something shifts. They learn to listen to one another, troubleshoot problems together, and push past setbacks. A student who was shy in the classroom becomes a vocal team leader. Another discovers a passion for engineering they never knew existed. These moments happen every day across the foundation's programs, in schools and community spaces throughout the county.
The Tolland County Robotics Foundation isn't just teaching mechanics and code—it's nurturing the next generation of innovators and confident leaders. By opening doors to robotics for all students, they're planting seeds of possibility that will grow far beyond any single competition or program.
