Draft grant proposal impact sections in minutes — using your own volunteer data.
The organizational impact sections of grant proposals are repetitive, data-driven, and time-consuming. VolunteerBadge's AI assistant drafts them using your real volunteer counts, verified hours, and in-kind value — with Claude as the engine. Included free with every account.
Why it matters
The case for AI Grant Writing
Drafts grounded in your actual data — not generic boilerplate
The assistant doesn't make up numbers. It pulls your real volunteer count, verified hours by program, in-kind match value, and training completion from your VolunteerBadge records and weaves them into the narrative.
Describe the funder's priorities — the draft adapts
Tell the assistant what the funder cares about — community youth outcomes, food security, disaster relief capacity — and the draft shifts emphasis accordingly, always grounded in your real data.
Your org's boilerplate, saved once and reused
Store your mission statement, program descriptions, founding year, and populations served once. Every draft pulls from this profile so you're never retyping standard language.
Standard section library covers what grant writers need
Organizational background, volunteer program impact, in-kind match statement, outcomes summary — pre-built section types that cover the most common grant proposal requirements.
No volunteer PII ever reaches the model
The assistant uses aggregate counts and your org's boilerplate — never individual volunteer records. This boundary is enforced in code, not by policy. Your volunteers' personal information never leaves your account.

FAQ
Common questions about AI Grant Writing.
Does Anthropic use our grant drafts or org data to train Claude?
No. VolunteerBadge runs on the paid Anthropic API, which explicitly does not use customer inputs for training. This is stated in Anthropic's enterprise terms and is a non-negotiable condition of our use of their API.
What data does the AI actually see?
Aggregate counts from your account (total volunteers, verified hours by program, in-kind value totals, training completion percentages) and your org profile boilerplate. Never individual volunteer names, dates of birth, addresses, or background check results.
Can I use the AI draft as-is without editing?
Technically yes, but we strongly recommend review. Every draft is labeled "AI-assisted" and the system keeps a record of which sections used AI assistance, in case a funder asks about your process.
What grant sections does the assistant cover?
Organizational background, volunteer program impact, in-kind match statement, and outcomes summary are the v1 section types. Additional templates are added based on customer feedback.
