Common questions

Which way does data flow?

Your choice, per connection: inbound (pull people in for screening), outbound (push approved volunteers back), or both.

Will it create duplicates?

No. We match on email and keep a link between each VolunteerBadge volunteer and its record in your system, so re-syncs never duplicate anyone.

How often does it sync?

Automatically every few hours, plus a “Sync now” button for an immediate run. Platforms with webhooks (like Planning Center) can update in near-real-time.

Is my data secure?

Your platform credentials are encrypted at rest with the same cipher we use for SSNs, and are never exposed back to the browser.

What does it cost?

Integrations are included. You only pay the usual $5 per background check you choose to run.

Don't see your platform?

Use our REST API or drop in a spreadsheet to bring volunteers over from anywhere. Neon CRM, Salesforce, and Blackbaud connectors are coming next.
