Every kid deserves a field to play on

For the Players Foundation operates three core programs designed to remove barriers to youth soccer in Hampton Roads. The More Play Network partners with schools, parks, and community sites to install goals, paint fields, and bring in coaching and programming. The Teammate Project sponsors individual students who need cleats, equipment, or registration fees to participate. Cleats for Kids collects and distributes gently used cleats to youth players across the region.

Since launching their first activation at Blair Middle School in Norfolk, the foundation has reached over 2,500 students across 3 activated sites. By partnering with schools and community organizations in underserved areas, they've created spaces where kids can develop skills, build friendships, and grow as part of a team. The foundation's work centers on a simple belief: that soccer is more than a game—it's a pathway to community, belonging, and opportunity for every child.
