A Place Where Faith Takes Root in Mattoon

On Sunday mornings, the doors of Legacy Church on Wabash Avenue in Mattoon swing open to anyone who wants to come as they are. Inside, the room fills with music and voices lifted in praise, creating space for people to slow down, breathe, and feel close to God.

For the children who gather through Legacy Kids, the church becomes a place to discover who Jesus is and to begin building a faith that can carry them through life. Parents find a community that shares their hopes for their children, and young hearts are gently shaped by stories, friendships, and a sense that they belong to something lasting.

Legacy Men offers a monthly gathering where men can step away from the busyness of daily life and sit alongside others who want to grow in faith. Over time, those conversations and shared commitments build friendships that strengthen one another and prepare men to lead with courage and integrity in their homes and their town.

Through generous giving and everyday acts of care, Legacy Church extends its reach beyond its walls, helping to share the gospel and support the wider Mattoon community. Each Sunday, people leave with renewed hope, ready to carry that faith into the week ahead.
