A Chair, a Chance, and a Door Left Open
RITE opens free AI literacy classes, devices, and internet access to students, educators, and neighbors who have never had a seat at the technology table. Its community centers turn curiosity into real skills that carry into everyday life.

Picture a Saturday morning in a neighborhood where the newest tools are often talked about but rarely touched. At a RITE Community Innovation Center, the door swings open to anyone who walks in, with no application and no fee. A chair is waiting, and the first question someone asks is treated as the beginning of something, not a sign they are behind.
Inside, the room hums with quiet focus. A parent sits beside a teenager, both learning how to use an AI tool to plan a family budget. An educator takes notes during a workshop designed to make classroom technology easier to manage. Nearby, a small group of neighbors trades tips at a community mixer, sharing ideas for projects they had not imagined they could build. Devices and internet access are there for anyone who needs them, so the lack of a laptop at home does not decide who gets to participate.
The work continues beyond the first visit. Over weeks and months, people move from curiosity to capability, learning to apply these tools to problems in their classrooms, households, and organizations. When a Family AI Night ends with a full dinner shared around the table, it is easy to see what RITE is building: a place where technology is something a community shapes together, not something that happens to it.
