Young athletes find confidence on the field

On a warm afternoon in Panama City, a group of middle schoolers gathers at the practice field. Some are natural athletes; others are trying sports for the first time. What brings them together is the Glenwood Rattlers Youth Association—a community program dedicated to meeting kids where they are and helping them grow through athletic opportunity.

For many young people in the area, joining a youth sports team can feel out of reach. The Glenwood Rattlers removes those barriers, creating a welcoming space where kids develop skills, build friendships, and learn what teamwork really means. Whether a child is learning the fundamentals or refining their technique, the program's coaches invest time in seeing each player improve.
