Where creativity rebuilds lives in Nashville
Daybreak Arts connects artists experiencing homelessness and housing instability to space, resources, and opportunities to develop their craft and earn meaningful income through their creative work.

In Nashville, a creative ecosystem is taking shape around a simple belief: that artists experiencing homelessness deserve the space, support, and opportunity to pursue their craft with dignity. Daybreak Arts brings together these talented individuals with community members, volunteers, and organizations who recognize the transformative power of art and creativity.
At the heart of Daybreak Arts lies the Artist Collective Program, which serves as the foundation for everything they do. Here, senior and adult artists navigating housing instability find more than just a place to create—they find relationships, mentorship, and pathways to meaningful income. When someone purchases an original artwork created by a Daybreak artist, seventy percent of that sale goes directly to the artist, providing real financial support for housing, mental health care, savings, and the pursuit of their creative dreams.
The ecosystem extends far beyond the studio walls. Teaching artists share their skills with young people. Commissioned work connects Daybreak artists with new audiences and creative partners. Exhibitions showcase their talent to the broader Nashville community. Each opportunity—whether a live painting, a workshop, or a performance—represents a chance for artists to be seen, to earn, and to lead within their community.
What makes this work possible is the network of people who believe in the potential of these artists. Volunteers, donors, corporate partners, and community members come together, understanding that supporting a Daybreak artist means supporting someone's ability to create, to heal, to hope, and to reimagine what's possible in their life. In this creative ecosystem, art becomes the vehicle for transformation.
