Free Tax Site Volunteer Certification Tracker
A volunteer standards of conduct agreement is not valid on the volunteer’s signature alone — it becomes valid when the site coordinator, sponsoring partner, instructor or IRS contact has confirmed that person’s identity against a government-issued photo ID and signed it themselves. That is the step sites skip: orientation ends, everyone signs, the forms go in a binder, and nobody counter-signs. This register starts every row at NOT VALID and keeps it there until both the confirming name and the signature date are recorded, however many other boxes are ticked.
- NOT VALID until identity was confirmed and counter-signed
- Under-certification flagged against the role’s required level
- A single count of who can actually work opening day
