Church Designated & Restricted Fund Tracker
Restricted money was given FOR something and the church must use it that way. Designated money the church set aside itself, and it can change its mind. Most church accounts collapse both into one column called “funds”, which hides the difference that matters. This tracker asks which each fund is, records the purpose in the words the money was asked for, and flags spending outside that purpose — and any restricted fund that has gone into deficit, which means general money has been spent against a restricted promise.
- Restricted and designated held apart, with stated purposes
- Balances computed from transactions
- Flags overspent restricted funds and out-of-purpose spending
