Church Offering Count & Counter Rotation Log

Counter eligibility computes from segregation of duties — nobody who holds the office, records receipts or reconciles the bank can be in the counting team. Each week is checked for two counters, for two households, for a deposit that matches the count and for a deposit made inside your own window. And the check almost nothing does: a Rotation tab that counts how often each pair has counted together, because a fixed pair satisfies the rule and quietly removes its assumption.

  • Counter eligibility from segregation of duties
  • Weekly check on counters, households, deposit and timing
  • Rotation analysis that flags a fixed pair

Leave blank for 2.

The controls assumed here — two unrelated counters who do not hold the office or reconcile the bank, rotated rather than fixed — are what church finance guidance and church insurers consistently ask for. They are not law, and this is not accounting advice.
