Optional text updates from VolunteerBadge about your volunteer application and background check. It's entirely your choice — texting is never required to volunteer.

Consent to receive texts is not a condition of anything. You do not have to opt in to volunteer, to create an account, to apply, or to complete a background check. An email option is always available. This checkbox is unchecked by default — texts are only sent if you actively choose them.

This is optional. You can volunteer, apply, and complete a background check by email without opting in to texts. See our SMS Terms and Privacy Policy. We never sell or share your mobile number.

What you’ll get

A one-time invitation with a secure link to complete your volunteer application and background check, plus occasional reminders while your application is pending. Transactional only — no marketing.

How often

Message frequency varies with your interaction — typically an initial invitation and a reminder or two. Message and data rates may apply.

Prefer email?

Texting is completely optional. You can receive the exact same secure link by email and complete everything without ever giving a mobile number.

Opt out anytime

Reply STOP to any message to stop all texts, or HELP for assistance. Opting out never affects your ability to volunteer or finish your application.
