In-Home Visit Safety Log

Hospice companions, senior visitors and respite volunteers work alone, in private homes, often with nobody knowing precisely where they are. This log records a check-out and an expected return, and computes who is overdue past a grace period you set. It also says plainly what it is not: nothing here alerts anybody, so a named person has to own the check — and the Settings tab has a cell for their name, which is the most important cell in the file.

  • Overdue calculation against your own grace period
  • Check-out / check-in pairing per visit
  • A named owner for the check, because nothing is automatic

Leave blank for 30.

A spreadsheet is a poor lone-worker system: nothing here alerts anybody. If you use it, a named person has to own the check — and for volunteers routinely visiting alone after dark, an automated service that escalates is the better answer.
