Opportunity description

The Housing Policy Research Grant Notice of Funding Opportunity provides competitive awards to eligible applicants, including institutions of higher education, nonprofit, and for-profit institutions. Awards made through this NOFO will fund quality research projects that: (1) contribute to knowledge about housing policy in the United States; and (2) generate actionable insights and evidence that can applied by policymakers and communities in the short-term.

  • Nonprofits that do not have a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education
  • Private institutions of higher education
  • Public and State controlled institutions of higher education
  • County governments
  • For profit organizations other than small businesses
  • Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education
  • State governments

Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs); Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs); Tribally Controlled Colleges and Universities (TCCUs); and Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian Serving Institutions (ANNH) are eligible to compete for, or receive, awards made under this announcement. Individuals, foreign entities, and sole proprietorship organizations are not eligible to compete for, or receive, awards made under this announcement.
