Church youth & retreats

Overnight retreats put your leaders with teens, far from home.

Youth camps and retreats are some of the most meaningful — and highest-trust — things a church does: overnight stays, small groups, and time away from parents. VolunteerBadge clears every leader and chaperone for $5 with biometric identity verification, so your safe-church policy is more than a promise.

Who to screen for the trip

Small-group leaders

Adults shepherding cabins and discussion groups around the clock.

Cabin chaperones

Overnight supervisors with sleeping-quarters access to students.

Drivers & activity volunteers

Worship, recreation, and transport helpers with student contact.

Church youth camp screening questions

Our youth leaders are church members we trust — still need checks?

Yes. "We trust them" is the assumption every safe-church policy is designed to back up, not replace. Your denomination, insurer, and the camps you visit expect a documented background check on every adult leader and chaperone — members included.

Do drivers and small-group leaders need checks?

Anyone with access to students does — small-group leaders, cabin chaperones, drivers, and worship/activity volunteers. Each is a single $5 check.

Can leaders reuse clearance for weekly youth group?

Yes — each cleared leader keeps a re-verifiable badge they carry from camp into your weekly youth ministry and back again.
