We believe every classroom can teach cybersecurity, whether or not the teacher knows a firewall from a spreadsheet.
Next Gen Cyber Ed is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit bringing cybersecurity education into K-12 classrooms without asking teachers to become tech experts, add extra curriculum time, or change the standards they already teach to. Our programs are built around one idea: cybersecurity concepts fit into almost any subject, if someone hands teachers the tools to make that connection.
Why we exist
Kids aren't short on curiosity about cybersecurity. They're short on adults who can show them the door is open. Next Gen Cyber Ed exists to be that door, for as many classrooms as we can reach, without adding a burden to already-stretched teachers.
What we run
Praxis — a free tabletop exercise platform that puts students inside branching cybersecurity crisis scenarios. No downloads, no cost, just a 6-digit code to join. Mock Interview Program — free interview practice for high school students and the educators supporting them. A growing library of real-world incident scenarios, built so students learn from what actually happened, not hypotheticals.
Why we need volunteers
Next Gen Cyber Ed runs lean, so every volunteer directly expands what we can offer. Scenario developers help us turn real incidents into classroom-ready exercises. Speakers and mentors show students that this field is full of real people, not just headlines. If you've spent any part of your career in cybersecurity and want to hand that knowledge to the next generation, there's a role here for you.
